About Us

Ryan Powers

Producer / Writer / Actor

Ryan Powers is a multi-hyphenate filmmaker and performer whose work blends sharp comedy, emotional honesty, and genre storytelling with a distinctly offbeat voice. Most recently, Ryan wrapped principal photography on Deluxe Ocean View - a psychological horror feature he wrote, produced, and stars in. From the film’s earliest conception through script development, financing, location acquisition, staffing, and production, Ryan played an instrumental role in bringing the ambitious independent feature from idea to reality.

He also recently completed the relationship dramedy Sydney vs Sean (2026) as writer, producer, and actor, starring opposite Janel Parrish, T. R. Knight, and Arden Myrin.

Ryan’s award-winning short film Broken Art - which he directed, produced, wrote, starred in, and edited - screened at major festivals including Outfest, Dances With Films, Cleveland International Film Festival, and Seattle Queer Film Festival, earning honors including Best Comedy, Best LGBT Short, and the Indie Spirit Award.

As an actor, Ryan has appeared in projects including She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, The Mandalorian, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Grease Live!, and The Nice Guys. He also received Best Actor recognition for his performance in the psychological horror short In These Parts, which he additionally wrote and produced.

Ryan’s twisted holiday comedy series Toymakers was featured on Will Farrell and Adam McKay's Funny or Die. Powers wrote, produced, edited and starred in the series opposite Chelsea Frei (The Paper).

His comedy short Ticket Like A Man - which he wrote, produced, and starred in alongside Arden Myrin (Free Bert, Righteous Gemstones) - earned multiple festival awards including Best Short Film and Best Comedy during its successful run at festivals including DC Shorts, HollyShorts, and Dam Short Film Festival.

Known for balancing humor, heart, and emotional chaos, Ryan gravitates toward stories that are dynamic, character-driven, provocative, and just a little bit unhinged.
